We are authors, directors and producers for documentary films in all kinds of formats. We have a special interest in character driven science films with all its contested dimensions and social impacts.

Hendrik Löbbert

Hendrik works as director and producer for documentary films. In 2015, “Grenzbock” was his first feature documentary as writer and director together with Wüstefilm West and Arte and supported by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg. He has written and produced various documentaries for german tv (ZDF/3sat and Arte among others) and received the DEFA – and the Gerd Ruge scholarships.

2024 he finished his second feature documentary, “Memory Wars”, as author, director and co-producer.

His main focus is on character based documentaries that deal with science in its various meanings.

Johanna Domke

Johanna Domke grew up in Germany and Argentina and initially studied fine art in Denmark and Sweden. She studied film directing, editing and production at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne. Her documentary film CROP (2013) was shown at numerous international festivals and won several awards. The cinema documentary DREAMAWAY, co-produced by WDR, was shown at the Karolvy Vary International Film Festival and the BFI Film Festival in London, among others. Johanna Domke works as a freelance editor at NDR.

Caroline Ektander

Caroline Ektander is a Swedish writer and designer currently pursuing a practice-based PhD at the Bauhaus University in Weimar. Her work explores and troubles prevalent narratives about permanent pollution in post-industrial contexts, with particular focus on the heavily contaminated chemical town Bitterfeld-Wolfen, in former East Germany. Together with Hendrik Löbbert she has co-authored film scripts on memory science, industrial poisons, and the struggle of four tiny island communities off the west coast of Scotland to survive in the periphery.

Klaus Neumann-Ege

Klaus edited an international print magazine for digital art in Hamburg. He produced political talk shows and worked as a independent journalist and producer. He made TV reports, documentaries and …cinema, he did the programming for the german press agency DPA and co founded a creative gaming festival. Born into the east of germany in 1979  his work is fueled by a fascination for cultural, technological and social progress.
