Flat land, wide views, seabirds screeching in the blue sky. Cows graze on the salt marshes and all around is the sea. And tranquility: that’s why people want to live on Hallig Oland. But life here is becoming increasingly difficult as sea levels rise due to global warming. The residents of the Halligen in the North Frisian Wadden Sea are the first to feel this.
